Sun Yoga

Sun Yoga is a practice by which one lives off the energetic rays of the sun. In this practice, the sun is gazed at daily during sunrise or sunset for just a few minutes, in order to vitalize the pineal gland and feed the body with solar energy.

Apparently there are thousands of people around the globe living entirely off of sunlight. Contrary to popular belief, the body does not need food for energy or to stay alive. As all plants gain their substance from solar energy, we too can go to this pure source and receive our food directly. Along with pure water, Sun Yoga can give our systems all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals necessary for survival. The sun is clearly not the enemy it has been made out to be by the media. Studies have shown that it is, in fact, the chemicals in sunscreen and the additives in food, combined with extreme sun exposure that cause skin cancer. The sun itself is a benign, loving source of pure energy, warmth and light.

To practice Sun Yoga, one must be diligent in sun gazing daily whilst standing barefoot on earth or sand. The period spent sun gazing each day is increased incrementally. There is a systematic approach to this practice and when followed correctly, appetite lessens more and more until the body becomes naturally able to thrive on sun energy alone. This is an amazing practice with far-reaching implications for human growth and evolution. Sun gazing has also been explored as a way to elevate oneself spiritually and to overcome the density and limitations of the human form. Perhaps gravity itself will give way as we merge with the light, pure, free essence of the sun.
