Brighton, as seaside town tucked between the South Downs and the English Channel, is a fabulous place to each cake!

In every window as your stroll along the Laines, you find wondrous displays of delicious edibles.

Fresh juices, organic salad bars, tasty and healthy snacks of all varieties are to be seen and enjoyed in Brighton. 

42 is a great green juice locale as is You Juice. After a nutritious superfood shake or smoothie, why not a slice of decadent homemade cake!

I just can't get over how scrumptious the cakes on display look. Chocolate, Carrot, Chesse, you name it. Cake in every category. Vegan. Gluten-free. 

For a little cleanse post indulgence, try an Himalayan Pink Salt gargle with the high grade stuff sold in 42's quaint shop.

Tarot on the Beach

Tarot and the ocean go hand in hand. The simple serenity of the seashore and the dynamic archetypes of the Tarot enhance and inspire each other. On this bright day enjoying Oceanview beach, I pulled three major arcana cards from the Wild Unknown deck.

First, The Fool: An innocent one approaching the field of infinite possibilities. A unique soul who risks all in order to fully embrace life, to experience all the magnificence that living has to offer. This sweet, sometimes foolhardy creature steps out on faith, lives by grace and in so doing embarks upon a hero's journey filled with adventure and excitement. For the Fool, life is no dull moment. 

Second, The Lovers: Two joined in holy love, soaring together to the depths and hieghts of communion and integration with another soul. Mates for life for whom nothing can cause separation, joined as they are in spirit. These two complement one another and exists in tandem, they communicate telepathically, transform during sexual union into one being, and together reach spiritual dimensions far and beyond what is acheivable alone. 

Lastly, The Magician: That master who wields power thorugh attunement with all 4 elements and therefore steps through the Divine portal. With a synergy of water that flows, fire that alights, air that inspires and earth that steadies, the Magi overcomes every worldly obstacle easily and thus, knows no bounds, no limitations and no lack.

Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara is a lovely coastal town with a year round temperature of 70 give or take a few degrees. It has been dubbed The American Rivera for its similarity to such European cities as St. Tropez and Monaco.SB has winding hills,

Palm-lined beach fronts

And exquisite cuisine. California fare at Alchemy Spa Cafe,

I have had the privilege of experiencing this quaint village on foot,

by bicycle,

by day,

and at night.

What I have discovered is an array of eclectic shops, delicious eateries

And wonderful cobblestone streets along hidden passageways.

For a taste of La Dolce Vita on U.S. soil, Santa Barabara can't be beat and; I recommend a weekend visit or prolonged stay if you have the time, to soak up the beneficent rays of this saintly town nestled in mountains and framed by the sea.
