Brighton Eats Delicious Cake

Brighton, as seaside town tucked between the South Downs and the English Channel, is a fabulous place to each cake!

In every window as your stroll along the Laines, you find wondrous displays of delicious edibles.

Fresh juices, organic salad bars, tasty and healthy snacks of all varieties are to be seen and enjoyed in Brighton.

42 is a great green juice locale as is You Juice. After a nutritious superfood shake or smoothie, why not a slice of decadent homemade cake!

I just can't get over how scrumptious the cakes on display look. Chocolate, Carrot, Chesse, you name it. Cake in every category. Vegan. Gluten-free.

For a little cleanse post indulgence, try an Himalayan Pink Salt gargle with the high grade stuff sold in 42's quaint shop.

Oh, I did I mention cake. Definitely get a slice... or two...

Just take a walk along the North Laines and you'll find all this deliciousness. Have a sandwhich or croissant or perhaps, you fancy a lemon bar. Go for it. After all, you're on vacation, right? In one of the most beautiful and bountiful cities in the world.

Brighton, UK.

P.S. Once you get your goodies, head down to the beach and cozy up with a picnic lunch by sea.

Hygge

The Danish concept of Hygge (hue gah) relates to the practice of finding genuine satisfaction in the simple pleasure of home, hearth and family.

It is the being at peace with whatever comforts appear before you and relishing in the myriad ways one can appreciate a warm fire, a cozy hug or a meal cooked with love.

Hygge is my New Year's resolution and I intend to make home life the center of my activity. From the comfortable base of home I will reach out to the world with healing service and work.

I charge you to find ways to express this simple principle in your own life. Bring a little Hygge into your space this year and see how it transforms you, your relationships and your health~

Manifestation: A Walk in Hyde Park

You can have whatever you want, any good thing that your heart desires; you only need to believe. Like a flower seed that hasn't yet sprouted, the dreams you nurse take root and bear fruit to the degree that you water them with good measure and faith.

Be steadfast on your path even when the skies are grey, because you well know that as the rain pours, so will the flowers sprout. Choose a small thing today that you truly wish for and hold it in your mind's eye as an already established fact. Go about your day as a charmed receiver knowing the best is on its way to you, in rich and perfect form.

You're a winner every time. Nam Myoko Renghe Kyo!

Casablanca Blue

Rose petals abound in the luxurious seaside haven that is Casablanca, Morrocco. The souks are wonderful places to discover exotic wares and enjoy mesmerizing colors and scents.

I am truly in love with morrocan style and will be coming here over and over again to experience this alluring North African atmosphere.

Royal Air Maroc does its job well and I was quite impressed with the attention to detail and exquisite on board service. Other African airlines can certainly watch, learn and follow suit.

Anima Mundi Apothecary

By far the most potent medicinal herbal tinctures that I have ever had, and I have had scores of them from all over the world, Anima Mundi Apothecary's elixirs are truly transformational tonics. I love the Corpus Lucem for its direct energy charge to the Love essence within. The taste is luscious and rich, and very addictive!

The Viridem is an exquisite green superfood tonic with rainforest herbs like moringa and sea foods like spirulina. I felt boosts of energy and clarity after drinking this elixir, not to mention the spiritual charge coming over me. I simply loves these blends.

The Blood tonic might very well be my favorite of all I've tried because of its intense cleansing and restorative action. I feel my eyes are clearer, my flexibility has increased, and my sleep is more deep and restful. And yes, the  color of the tonic is reminiscent of actual blood!

I was lucky to get all these items from Santa Barbara's Alchemy Spa Cafe, but they can also be ordered online and with a 40% discount throughout November! I love love love Anima Mundi herbals and will be buying them exclusively for all my herbal health needs.

Earthing

Being in touch with the earth physically is so uplifting for our minds and spirits. It is surprising to me how many months can go by without my having direct one on one moments with our Mother Earth. So vital to our health and longevity, our sanity even, is an activity which is now called, "earthing." Basically, what our ancestors have been doing for millenia, we have to start doing again - sitting, standing and walking barefoot on precious dirt, sand or grass. Sadly, our modern culture precludes this possibility in a normal day for the average person, and it could very well be the reason why so many are ill, unbalanced and depressed. We are electromagnetic beings living on an electrical planet and there is a symbiotic relationship which yearns to be nurtured. We give our full presence to Mother Earth and she gives back to us energetically, in turn. Her positively charged energy helps keep us grounded psychologically, boosts our immune system and physical vitality, and helps to attune our spiritual faculty to that of the Divine.

Rosemary

"The wonderful smell of rosemary is often associated with good food and great times. But it could just as easily be associated with good health. Rosemary contains substances that are useful for stimulating the immune system, increasing circulation and improving digestion. Rosemary also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that may make it useful for reducing the severity of asthma attacks. In addition, rosemary has been shown to increase the blood flow to the head and brain, improving concentration. So, the next time you enhance the flavor of some special dish with rosemary, congratulate yourself for a wise as well as delicious choice." whfoods.com

Rumi Love

"Love is the bridge between you and everything." ~Rumi

Rumi, the great Sufi poet, was a master of words. He wrote volumes on the synergy between heart wisdom and the testimony of the senses. His poetry forever graces us with wonder, joy and lightness of being. In each of these magical little clay pots is included a message of love from Rumi's vast written collection. In this way, they act as tiny vessels of heartfelt sentiments from the giver to the gifted. Their earthy colors and handmade allure coalesce well with the poignant, stirring songs spilled forth from the heart of Rumi. Each tiny scroll tucked inside and sealed with a cork holds a hand written inspiration meant to be cherished when read both aloud and silently by the beloved.

"Submit to love without thinking."

"I am yours, don't give yourself back to me."

"Love rests on no foundation, it is an endless ocean with no beginning and no end."

"Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love."

"Close your eyes, fall in love, stay there."

Emotional Freedom!

There is a wonderful technique for freeing yourself from emotional baggage and it works so efficiently and effectively that you almost won't believe it. It involves tapping lightly with your fingertips on various acupuncture points, while verbalizing the mental chatter going through your mind about a particular issue. The reason this method works so well is that we store a lot of old traumas in our tissues and every time something in our lives trigger these memories, our internal energy flow is disrupted causing real physical, mental and emotional challenges. When we talk through a troublesome issue and the emotions behind it while tapping along the body's meridians, we in effect, re-write the scripts that programs our lives. In other words, we heal.

For instance, if you suffered a great loss of a loved one in the early years of your life, your mind and body probably developed a code to self-sabotage close relationships as a way to safeguard from the pain and grief of that experience. But, what this repeating subconscious message does for you as you grow and develop, having new experiences, is block you energetically from moving on, It systematically limits you from having new, rewarding and uplifting relationships. With Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), you begin to break the code and stall this over-reactive negative response based on your past, therefore reorganizing your mind/body to adapt higher solutions.

A basic EFT introduction to get you started goes as follows:

1st Phase - The Set Up - This is the statement you create based on your particular issue and repeat several times as you tap on your, 'side of hand' meridian. Let it be a clear and concise expression of the specific core problem. Give it a rating of severity from 1 to 10 with 1 being not so disturbing and 10, very disturbing.

Let's say your issue is a mistrust of close relationships, because of a tragic loss of a loved one. This could be your set-up statement:

Example:

Even though, I lost the love of my life, I still do love and accept myself fully and completely and I know that God loves and accepts me, too.

~

2nd Phase - Tapping through the Emotions/Beliefs - Many thoughts and feelings will be triggered as you do the first phase, here you can begin to verbally state these as they come up, while continuing to tap along various meridians as shown.

Example:

Losing love is so painful. Why did this have to happen to me? What did I do wrong? I don't deserve love. I never want to hurt like that again. Love ends, Love dies. This relationship failed. That relationship failed. I have no chance of love. I'm lonely and sad. I need some support. I want to be strong.

~

3rd Phase - The Resolution - As you're proceeding with the second phase you may find that intense, deeply stored emotional pain will surface; keep Tapping through this pain, remembering to verbally express what's coming up around the issue. Then, when you've gotten it all out, all the negatives, begin to tap on the ray of hope coming into view or any positive spin that is developing around the issue.

Example:

There are many other loved ones who are still here for me. Death is a part of life. Fearing it will only keep me stuck. I can allow myself to love again. My [deceased loved one] would want me to love fully again. I let it be easy to let go of the grief. I am ready to release the pain. It is time for me to move on. I love closeness and bonding and intimacy. I was made for love. I am safe now. I choose love.

When you are complete, make sure to rate the severity level of the issue on the 1-10 scale. You may have to revisit the issue again and again in future tapping sessions depending on how severe it is. However, you will see a marked lowering in disturbance level each time you do this process. The key is, through this process you never stop tapping on the meridian points, as this seemingly small act is what shifts your body/mind blocked energy flow around the issue. Many have reported immediate relief from phobias, allergies, environmental illness, addictions, long-standing money problems and the list goes on. Try this and see how wonderfully it works for you.

For a more detailed explanation of the process, go to Emotional Freedom Technique or The Dynamic Turnaround.
